How many items can I store with TWS?

At TWS, we don’t have a limit on the number of garments. You are free to store as much or as little as you would like.


Do I have to store my clothes with you for a set amount of time?

We offer both short-term and long-term storage allowing you to store with us for as long as you need. 


What size are your storage boxes?

Our specialist breathable storage boxes measure at 60x37x31cm. These can be used to store footwear, trousers, knitwear, t-shirts, hats, bags, belts or scarves.


How will my clothing/accessories be stored?

We place all items into our breathable garment bags or boxes. We also make sure that all garments are on suitable hangers and replace these if necessary. Our facility is temperature and humidity controlled with state-of-the-art security. All items in our care are regularly checked.


What do I need to do to prepare for the initial appointment?

All we need to open an account for you is your full name, a contact number and address for collection. We can then book you in for your initial collection or a complimentary consultation if you’d prefer.


What areas do you deliver to?

Our collection/delivery charge covers London and the surrounding areas. We may charge a premium if you would like one of our experts to visit you outside of these areas. Alternatively, we use a trusted courier to cover any appointments further afield or abroad.


Apart from storage, do you offer any other services?

We offer many services including Wardrobe Curation, Archiving, Personal Cataloguing, Alterations and Dry Cleaning. Please see the ‘Services’ section of our website or contact us for more information.


Can I store my fur coat with TWS?

Absolutely! We have a specialist cold fur storage facility that is kept at a specific temperature and each item is secured with its own garment lock. Items are stored in complete darkness to prevent discolouring with plenty of space to allow for air flow. Furs can be stored with us for 6 or 12 months of the year.


 How much notice do I need to give when booking in a collection or delivery?

We kindly ask for at least three working days’ notice for a collection or delivery. However, we do offer same day or next day delivery. These will be carried out by a member of TWS staff (subject to availability) or a reputable courier.


Can I have my clothing catalogued without storing with you?

We do offer an at home cataloguing service. Here, we will take your items away batch by batch and upload them onto your very own virtual wardrobe. If you are not storing with us, there will be a monthly fee to access this.


Can TWS send somebody to help me choose what clothing I should be storing?

Here at TWS we offer a free consultation. We can visit you prior to the initial collection to discuss your storage needs and offer advice. 


What is the charge for the initial collection and consultation?

Your initial collection and consultation will be free of charge. 


How long will the initial appointment take?

Each of our client’s needs are unique. If you know what you would like to store, and have everything arranged, the initial appointment can be very quick. If you would like help deciding what to store, then we will help for as long as is necessary. We ask that you let us know if you think you will need extra time so that we can accommodate for this.


What if I find further items that I would like to store after the initial appointment?

If you would like to add items to your storage, please contact your account manager. They will be happy to arrange a collection.


Will my items be covered by your insurance?

TWS provide limited insurance for items stored with us. Please see our Terms and Conditions for further information regarding this.


Can I store my spring/summer wardrobe with you and then switch this out in the autumn/winter?

Seasonal Storage is our most popular service with most people switching their wardrobes over in late April – early May and late September – early October.


 Is there anything you cannot store for me?

We are not obligated to provide our services to anybody wanting to use our services to store fine jewellery, materials that are illegal to store or transport without a license or any items that we consider to be unsuitable or unhygienic. Please see our Terms and Conditions for the full list.


Can I call to book in a collection/delivery or do I have to go through the virtual wardrobe?

To book a collection or delivery you can call, email or use the feature on your virtual wardrobe. If you are requesting a delivery, the virtual wardrobe is the best way for you to pick and choose the items that you would like returned to you. If you are looking to close your account, we ask that you email your account manager.


Can I give you holiday items such as ski/sports equipment?

Absolutely! Storing infrequently used ski/sports equipment or holiday clothing with us is a great way to free up space at home.


I’d like to store my wedding dress. Can I store this with you?

You can store your wedding dress with us both before and after your wedding. If you do not wish to store it at home, we can store it for you and then return it ready for your fitting. If you would like to keep your wedding dress stored safely as a keepsake after the big day then we also offer long term wedding dress storage.


Can my PA/Stylist/Housekeeper have a login for my virtual wardrobe?

We offer multiple logins for your virtual wardrobe free of charge. Each person permitted access will have their own individual credentials.


Can I store things with you for extended periods of time?

We offer a fantastic archiving service specifically designed for long-term storage. Please contact us for more information regarding this service.


Can I visit the storage facility?

Due to the nature of the business, we do not allow visitors and the location of our storage facility is kept under lock and key.


Can you help me sell any garments that I no longer want?

We recommend using Vestiaire or Shona Mac when looking to sell garments and accessories. We also inform all of our clients about the charities Smart Works and Suited and Booted who are always grateful to receive quality, pre-loved items.
